This app is operated by ProFinda Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 06578390, VAT number GB102827050, with its registered address at 12 New Fetter Lane, Holborn, London, EC4A 1JP, for delegates of the ProFinda Connects Chicago Summit. By signing in and using the app you accept these terms.

Access is for the delegate the account belongs to. Don’t share your sign-in link or password, and tell the events team at marketing@profinda.com if you think someone else has used your account.

Use the app lawfully, respectfully and for the purposes of the summit. Don’t impersonate anyone, misuse another delegate’s information, copy the directory for your own use, send spam, or post unlawful, abusive or inappropriate material.

In simpler terms: be useful and be decent.

We may remove content or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect delegates, ProFinda or the event.

Discussion threads, replies, answers on other delegates’ questions and questions put to a session are visible to every signed-in delegate, with your name and company attached.

They are moderated: the events team can lock, hide or remove a thread, a reply, an answer or a session question, and questions asked in a session are approved before they go on screen. Please treat these spaces as you would a room full of your peers, and don’t post anything confidential or commercially sensitive.

Direct messages are for arranging introductions and conversations around the summit. Don’t use them for unsolicited sales, recruitment or bulk outreach.

You keep responsibility for anything you send. What you write stays private between you and the recipient — the privacy policy explains exactly what the events team can and cannot see.

You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You give ProFinda permission to show it inside the app to other signed-in delegates and to the events team for the purposes of running the summit.

Only upload a photo you are entitled to use, and only add profile details that are accurate and your own.

Ahead of and during the summit, we may create an initial profile for you using publicly available information (for example, your professional details from LinkedIn or your employer’s website), so the delegate directory is populated before you’ve signed in. This is separate from anything you add or edit yourself once you’re using the app.

If you have any additional questions, whether or not you’ve signed in yet, email marketing@profinda.com. Once you’ve signed in, you can also delete it yourself at any time from My Profile (see “Ending your access” below).

The app supports the summit and helps make introductions. Matches and suggestions are just suggestions; ProFinda doesn’t guarantee any particular introduction, connection or business outcome.

The app is provided for the period around the event, and features may change or be withdrawn. We aim to keep it available throughout the day but cannot promise uninterrupted service.

To the extent permitted by law, ProFinda isn’t responsible for decisions, conversations or arrangements delegates make independently between themselves. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

All data shared will only be used for the duration of the event and for a period of one week.

After that week we delete delegate data. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is deleted and how.

You can stop using the app and delete your account and data at any time from the bottom of My Profile — you type DELETE to confirm, and it happens immediately and cannot be undone. You can also email marketing@profinda.com and ask the events team to do it for you. We may end access where these terms are broken, or once the one-week period after the event has passed.

If we make a material change to these terms or to the privacy policy, you will be asked to accept the new version the next time you open the app.
